The Dvora Agmon Preschool Development Center

Ha’Gan Ha’Shikumi is a cluster of kindergartens designed for children 3-7 years old with motor coordination and linguistic difficulties, but with normal learning ability. The kindergarten cluster is managed and supervised by the Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Jerusalem Education Administration and the Hagshama Non-Profit Organization.  Ha’Gan Ha’Shikumi was established in 1970 by Prof. Naomi Amir as an educational-rehabilitative framework for children suffering from cerebral palsy at various levels of severity. Prof. Amir’s approach is based on perceiving the child as a complete personality. This necessitates a comprehensive approach, according to which the health limitation is only one aspect of the child’s development, and the utmost should be done to enable him to advance and realize his full potential.
