Treatment of the kindergarten children is based on values of universal human dignity, and a belief in equality of opportunity for a meaningful life for all.
Our goal is to advance and assist each child towards achieving the maximum degree of independence in the different areas of functioning: Language and play, learning, social behavior, and self care (eating, bathroom, etc.) with constant consideration of his emotional state. To assist the child in developing a positive self image, based on his abilities, while dealing with his difficulties and limitations. All this is designed to enable optimal integration into the community, with improved quality of life for both he and his family.
Partnership of the parents with the kindergarten staff – a necessary condition for the children’s advancement.
Treatment of the child is built from a dialog held between “experts” – the parent as the expert of his child, while the kindergarten staff contributes its professional expertise. The parents are the most significant figures for the children; hence, cooperation between staff and parents is essential for the children’s advancement. Over the year, this connection is maintained in different ways: Parents’ meetings, annual goal-setting discussions with parents, discussions for updates and joint thinking, invitations to observe treatments over the year, home visits, counseling by a psychologist or social worker and, simultaneously, day-to-day contact between kindergarten teacher and parents through a contact notebook, instant messages or email.
Each child has only one childhood; our role, as adults, is to fully nurture and enrich it.
Children with special needs require many therapeutic interventions. Nevertheless, we make sure to maintain normal kindergarten life, in which we integrate the various treatments needed by the children.
