The kindergarten’s medical team includes a neurologist, Prof. Varda Gross-Tzur, who has served as kindergarten physician for over 30 years, and nurses. The neurologist holds a pivotal, highly significant position in the kindergarten.
Each child in the kindergarten undergoes a medical examination in the presence of the various teams: Educational, paramedical and emotional. An attempt is made to view all factors that affect the child’s condition, with emphasis on the main problems that require attention, encouraging of the child’s skills, and maintaining his childhood experience while providing all of the physical means needed to enable him to be independent and capable of making decisions in accordance with his age.
Each child undergoes a medical consultation with participation of the parents, Prof. Gross-Tzur, and the child’s caregiving team. The medical consultation is preceded by the doctor’s observation of the child in the kindergarten environment.
In addition, professional discussions are held with the various kindergarten teams, on cerebral developmental aspects, neurological symptoms, ADD and pharmaceutical treatment of it, communication issues, and more.
